- Pioneer Youth Church, Babcock University
The Babcock Entrepreneurship Development Centre (BEDC) hosted the second edition of its flagship workshop, the Mindset-Change for Academic Development in Entrepreneurship (MADE 2.0), from August 27–29, 2025, at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo.
The three-day capacity-building programme brought together over 100 faculty members across 30+ departments to rethink teaching practices and embrace entrepreneurship as a mindset. Hosted by Dr. Ayodeji Ajibade (Director, BEDC) and facilitated by Dr. Peter Bamkole with support from Dr. Helen Emore, MADE 2.0 created a dynamic platform for collaboration, reflection, and innovation.
Programme Highlights
- Day One: Welcoming addresses and foundation lectures on integrating entrepreneurship into pedagogy
- Day Two: Cross-disciplinary collaborations, fair competition, and young entrepreneurs’ pitches, including Anjola Ajayi (Founder, ACAD AI) who presented her AI-driven academic tool virtually.
- Day Three: Hands-on projects and a student presentation by Samuel Oyefusi from Pan-Atlantic University, who inspired faculty with his leadership journey and call to embrace innovation.
Partnerships that Made it Possible
MADE 2.0 was supported by the British Council, De Montfort University, HEI Innovation, CcHub, and Babcock Consults, reflecting the power of collaboration in shaping the future of higher education.
Looking Ahead
Beyond the sessions, lecturers left with fresh perspectives and practical tools to make their classrooms more innovative, interactive, and impact-driven. BEDC remains committed to sustaining this momentum through hackathons, curriculum re-designs, and continuous faculty development programmes.
At Babcock University, entrepreneurship is not just taught, it is lived, modeled, and embedded across disciplines. MADE 2.0 is another step toward shaping educators who will raise graduates ready to lead, innovate, and transform society.
