1 The objectives of the department

  • Provide comprehensive theoretical and practical training in core areas such as bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, immunology, and molecular microbiology.

  • Equip students with strong analytical, laboratory, and problem-solving skills to address real-world biological challenges.

  • Promote innovative research in infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, biotechnology, environmental microbiology, and public health.

  • Produce industry-ready graduates prepared for careers in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food safety, environmental management, research, and academia.

 

  • Support public health initiatives through disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and microbiological quality control practices.
