On September 10th, the Babcock University Computer Club (BUCC) hosted NVIDIA, one of the global leaders in accelerated
computing and artificial intelligence, making Babcock University the first Nigerian university to host NVIDIA.
After several emails, it was incredible to finally meet the NVIDIA delegation, who came all the way from the United States.
The delegation included top executives:
Fatima Tambajang, Head of Developer Ecosystem & AI Adoption
Adeola Adesoba, Cybersecurity & Agentic AI Solutions Architect
Emmanuel Olalere, Babcock alumnus and Site Reliability Engineering Manager

This milestone event had over 500 attendees. More than just an event, it was a defining step for Nigerian students in the global AI space.

We believe this is only the beginning. Babcock has set the pace, and we hope other Nigerian universities will follow as we
expose students to global opportunities in artificial intelligence.

What started with the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) workshop a month ago, where we hosted DLI Ambassador Ifeanyi Okala,
has now grown into hosting a full NVIDIA delegation from the United States.
This marks the start of a new era for Nigerian students in AI, shifting us from being just consumers to becoming active contributors.
