UNSEEN FORCES, VISIBLE IMPACTS: EXPLORING GOD’S CREATION THROUGH MICROBIOLOGY AND NANOTECHNOLOGY
- Prof. Ayandiran D. Aina
The understanding that microorganisms are essential partners in maintaining ecosystems, developing medicine, and fostering environmental sustainability rather than just being agents of disease is at the core of the lecture. Through a thorough examination of fungal endophytes, macrofungi, and microbial metabolites, the lecturer demonstrated how nature serves as a vast biochemical laboratory. These organisms produce bioactive compounds with antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, and therapeutic properties, many of which offer viable solutions to pressing global challenges such as antimicrobial resistance, chronic diseases, and environmental pollution.
