Chemical Pathology - Babcock University

I welcome you wholeheartedly to the Department of Chemical Patholgy, Babcock University, The department of Chemical pathology is one of the core laboratory medicine departments at the Benjamin S. Carson School of Medicine of the university. Asides providing didactic lectures and practical sessions to medical students and training of resident doctors, the department also runs and manages the chemical pathology laboratory where all chemistry and immunoassay tests are carried out.

1 The objectives of the department

· Advance the understanding of chemical mechanisms in health and disease.

·Provide high-quality diagnostic laboratory services and train students professionally

·Provide timely and accurate analysis of bodily fluids to supports clinical diagnosis, disease monitoring and patients management

· to introduce our students to the rich diversity of literature written in English and French, both locally and globally.

· to stimulate and encourage our students to become creative speakers, writers and teachers of English and French Languages.
