EMPOWERMENT

Responsible for organizing/coordinating/conducting empowerment program, e.g.
• University Colloquia (in August)
• Annual University General Orientation program (in January)
• Orientation for new faculty and staff
• Orientation program for Provost, Deans, HODs, and Course Advisors
• Orientation program for Student Associations Officials – BUSA, NAAS, etc.
• Other orientation programs as may be necessary
• Workshops on teaching and learning to empower faculty members and encourage best practices
• Workshops on best practices for staff empowerment and effectiveness
• Presentations to students to enhance their learning and living

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROL

1. FACILITIES, HEALTH, AND SAFETY


Takes care of
• Walkways adequate for effective usage
• Driveways adequate for effective usage
• Water Hydrants fixed at appropriate locations and positions
• Fire Extinguishers fixed at appropriate locations and positions
• Quality of materials to be used for work at project sites
• Safety at construction sites
• Removal of site hazards



2. COMPLIANCE,


Takes care of
• Activities in line with mission statement
• Rules, regulation, policies, procedures and standards of conduct
• Dress Code policies
• Quality in industry services
• Processes in the industries
• Vulnerability and risk where there are gas cans, oxygen cans, and power plants
• Use of social amenities – stadium, swimming pool(s), commercial areas, car parks
• Shop/Rent approval evidence (applicable to non-B.I.G. vendors)
• Approved products (applicable to non-B.I.G. vendors)
• Number of Employees (applicable to non-B.I.G. shops)
• Evidence/Currency of Payment of utilities bills (applicable to non-B.I.G. shops)

• Conducive teaching and learning environment
