University Of Glasgow Discusses Possible Partnership With Babcock

Babcock’s drive to improve research and student entrepreneurship received a boost as the University administration hosted a four-man delegation from the University of Glasgow.

The visit led by one of Babcock’s alumni, Dr. Iyke Ikegwuonu, brought to the fore, possible areas of collaboration between the two institutions.

This includes joint programmes in the Babcock Business School’s blended and experiential learning, strengthening entrepreneurship modules like the “buddy system” which allows for joint student engagement from both institutions in handling projects, mentorship and incubation of business ideas as well as research collaboration.

Senior Vice President Academics, Prof. Philemon Amanze, is optimistic that the partnership would open opportunities for all stakeholders and strengthen existing relations.

The Office of Research and International Collaboration and other faculty were also actively engaged in the discussions.
